900 PENN
900 Penn lives within one of Denver’s oldest historic neighborhoods, proudly standing just blocks from the Governor’s mansion while simultaneously standing blocks from neighborhoods that are currently reemerging after some years of neglect.
The site is also located within a protected district which made executing the vision for the project a longer and more complex process encompassing additional layers of regulations and requirements, which significantly increased the project’s challenges, reviews and timeline.
The project’s vision was to transform the existing inwardly focused building and embrace the exterior. Large sections of brick wall were removed and replaced with walls of glass and balconies bringing in Colorado’s abundance of natural light and sunshine.
900 Penn’s unique location allows for each residence to enjoy the dichotomous vies of the City and Mountains. The oversized balconies directly connect the living spaces to the exterior and the city beyond through automated walls of sliding glass.
From the upper floors, the mountains rise beyond the city with panoramic views of the Front Range. From the State Capital’s gold dome to Pike’s Peak, Mt. Evans and Long’s Peak beyond, at 900 Penn the City skyline both competes with and compliments the wonder of the Front Range beyond.
This design is unique in Denver’s market with a single luxury residence occupying each floor. Each residence is approximately 3,000 square feet of modern open living featuring fireplaces, extensive glazing, the indoor/outdoor living spaces, and exquisite finishes and detailing. The units are serine and welcoming without compromising privacy or livability.
Amenities including a guest apartment, small gym, dog run, secondary storage rooms, glazed elevator, rooftop lounge and a new enclosed parking garage complete the 900 Penn program. The new cool-gray stained brick, metal siding and glass façade provide a new landmark for this important Denver neighborhood.
